Recipe of the Month

7 ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb Ground beef

Produce

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

  • 1 tsp Parsley, dried

Baking & Spices

  • 1 tube Pillsbury pizza dough

  • 1 packet Taco seasoning mix

Dairy

  • 4 tbsp Butter

  • 5 Colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  • Lightly coat a large baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside.

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet, breaking up with a wooden spoon until fully browned and crumbled. Drain any fat and return skillet to stove top. Mix in the taco seasoning packet (but no water), and stir until fully coated. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.*

  • Spread the pizza dough out until it's flat and cut in half lengthwise and then 4 cuts up and down, creating a total of 10 small rectangles. Place about a tablespoon or more of the taco meat in the center of each pizza dough, top with a halved cheese stick and then carefully roll up the pizza stick, making sure to pinch all seams closed.

  • Combine the melted butter, garlic powder and parsley in a small bowl and brush it on the tops of the cheesy taco sticks. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve hot with your favorite taco toppings!

Notes

*You can use leftover taco meat in this recipe. But if you do make the full 1 lb. of ground beef, you will have lots of leftover taco meat, so you can freeze it and save for later use!

Hello Ladies!!

How many of you stop and take a little "Me" time? If you don't, then you should start.  The people in our household know better than to try and have a conversation with me "Before Coffee".  Just kidding, or am I?   Some of us have that cup of coffee before the daily grind begins.  We use it as our bible study or reflection time and even to pay a few bills or make out the grocery list.

Whatever the case may be, that quiet time is a blessing. It's that time to let the fog clear and settle our minds for the daily task ahead.  The ladies of 798 would like to invite you to join in and give this morning ritual a try if you haven't already.  It's guaranteed to re-wire and re-charge your mind for a more productive day.

Mmmmm!!

I can smell that wonderful aroma just thinking about it!

Enjoy!

Howdy Neighbor

Ahhhhhh, finally....... Spring is in the air.....all around us.....

Literally!

Pollen is everywhere!!!

Yes, Mother Nature doesn't leave a single thing out when creating her beauty including the greenish-yellow haze that lands on everything we own, not to mention wreaking havoc on our allergies.

I for one stay on a steady dose of Flonase and Claritan.  What is your allergy medicine of choice?

Unfortunately, however not only are we plagued with the downfall of allergies this year but now we have the dreaded,

"COVID-19"

to deal with.

One can not sneeze or cough that you don't get maced with a can of Lysol!!

But, in all honesty, I hope you are all taking the proper precautions and staying healthy and safe.

Let's take our focus off of all this chaos at the moment though.  We want to hear from you!

Tell us where you are and what is going on in your area during all of this.

We are dying to hear from you!

Seriously..... From boredom!

So, Tap the button below to share your thoughts and pics!

We all need something to do to help pass this time!

Remember to wash your hands and to keep them away from your face!  Stay healthy and Safe!
